About the Journal

The African Journal of Gender and Development (AJGD) is a bi-annual, double blind peer-reviewed journal of the Centre for Gender and Social Policy Studies (CGSPS), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, published twice a year in April and October. The Editorial Board is committed to the quick review of manuscripts. AJGD publishes original research studies and essays that focus on gender and explore the intersection of gender and development issues in fields of studies such as the humanities, law, social sciences, education, agriculture, medicine and public health, and science and technology. It also publishes the review of books that make critical, theoretical and constructive contributions to understanding gender relations, especially from an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspective.
